The kingdom of God is an upside-down kingdom. Jesus said that in order for a person to save their life, they must lose it for His sake (Mark 8:35). The greatest of all in the kingdom of God is the one who serves. The last shall be first, and the first shall be last.
Christian living is truly counter-cultural, especially when it comes to the concept of hospitality. While the world advises towards individualism a habit that can cause isolation and loneliness, the Bible tells us that a healthy and vibrant soul is a hospitable and generous one. At Blue Oaks, we attempt to reflect the image of the loving kindness of our God, who spared nothing, not even His beloved Son, in order to rescue us from eternal separation from Him. Hospitality is a form of reconciliation that declares the glory of God, and its beauty that lies in its joy and truth.
We are glad to be a community that welcomes all people from all walks of life, helping them to Find Their Place, Grow in Faith, and Live Transformed.
